Ross and his daughter, Song, have been serving their community regularly during the pandemic, as a team. In times when many are facing financial and health struggles simultaneously, they felt it was important to help since they have not been impacted as much as others. They have been handing out meal packages at the high school and delivering them to homes. Song has also cooked and delivered a hot dinner for an elderly client coming off a surgery. Ross noted that given the amount of volunteer work they were doing, it was almost a matter of time until they encountered a client that they personally knew in town. Their reactions to this reality ranged from surprise to sadness to ultimately pride as they were made all the more aware of the importance of their work. They were finally striking directly at the heart of their mission: providing critical help to their friends and neighbors whose circumstances are no different than theirs except for the benefit of good fortune.
